Capvond Composites’s supply of copes for McCarthy & Stone’s new North Berwick development
Following on from the successful construction of new high quality assisted living homes in Anstruther, McCarthy & Stone PLC have again used the Capvond lightweight composite cast copes for their new development of assisted living homes in North Berwick.
Ideal for traditional or kit built constructions, the copes for North Berwick were coloured to suit the surrounding area, a traditional sandstone red was chosen for the project. Fast to fit and providing clean, clear lines, the new composite copes provide a modern touch to traditionally designed homes.
The requirement for stone repairs and recoating of stone, often expected during construction, was completely eradicated due to the light weight and superior strength of the composite. Cills, mullions, quoins, door and widow surrounds, plaques and surface mounted lintels are all now available using the same casting system.
