composite materials made using recycled plastic bottles. Designed as a sustainable replacement for standard GRP enclosures, our Innovative Low Carbon Class 2 Fire Retardant resin system reduces embodied carbon while delivering industry-leading sustainable enclosures.
Dumfries and Galloway Council (DG First) commissioned a new waste and recycling centre in Stranraer. Capvond Composites supplied 3 GRP enclosures, one of which was the front entrance kiosk.
Capvond Composites were asked to provide mock brick panelling to cover telephone antennae in Newcastle. This was manufactured to a specification that would allow the radio waves to penetrate the glass fibre whilst still giving the durability and aesthetic appearance of weathered brick.
Designed by McInnes Gardner and build by Alan Leckie Builders, Capvond Composites were delighted to be involved in the construction of this award winning house.
Marc Swanson of Compass gave Capvond Composites the remit to replicate the detailing of the original 19th century features which characterise the roofs of the dormers on the front elevation of this stunning four star hotel.
Capvond Composites were asked to help with the supply of chimneys and copes for McCarthy & Stone’s new Anstruther development designed with traditional features, to blend in with the surrounding coastal town.

Following on from the successful construction of new high quality assisted living homes in Anstruther, McCarthy & Stone PLC have again used the Capvond lightweight composite cast copes for their new development of assisted living homes in North Berwick.
As part of our commitment to producing products using recycled materials in the manufacturing process, we have developed GRP enclosures/kiosks/housing units.
Capvond were extremely privileged to be asked to manufacture two new commemorative statues, and working with sculptor, Ruth Davies, and under the guidance of William Allardyce.
